Umbel
What do you do for a blip when you passed the best part of the day first stuck on a train, then confined to a meeting in a hotel in Crewe? It was dark when I walked for the train. The trip down was through a magical crystal landscape lit by beautiful morning sunlight, and while we were being diverted round tracks cracked by the cold, there was no chance to get out in the air and light.
So this is an experiment and a departure for me, at last using Photoshop for something other than cropping and minor adustments to contrast and brightness.
There was just a little time before the train home for a walk along a little stream near the station. The dried umbels of hogweed plants were like inverted chandeliers, but in the low light photos of them were pretty drab. This is an attempt to make them more interesting.
