Friday 17 December 2010: Chilly

Yes, yes, I know.... it's the same view as yesterday. But I haven't gone very far from this window in the last 24 hours and at least I bothered to open it and stick the camera out to take today's pic.

All snowbound today. The road down to the village (not this one) is blocked by big wandering drifts and no one was even going to attempt to go any further than the shed for some coal.

Thankfully we got a delivery of coal a couple of weeks ago as we're getting low on heating oil and the fuel company don't know when they'll manage to get here. It might be a chilly christmas, not to mention the total lack of hot water... eek!

Then again, if it keeps up like this our visitors might not get here and it wont matter if we become very smelly winter cave dwellers, existing on a diet of quality street and chocolate oranges.
