Winter balcony

The sun is just about at its lowest now, casting long shadows across the narrow streets. I knew I'd blipped this balcony during the summer, but it was only when I looked back that I realised it was exactly six months ago today.

Last night's meal went well - as expected with the first two courses, as they were all dishes we'd cooked many times before. But I wasn't too pleased with the dessert, a recipe I'd found on a Turkish food website which suggested adding a bit of flour to ricotta cheese and making it into balls, then baking them in the oven. When they were cool they were covered in sugar and lemon syrup. I didn't think they had enough flavour - I might add something else if I make them again.
