Sunday lunch

I know we can't complain about the weather here, compared with snow-bound people further north, but it has been too wet to go out today, so a morning spent cooking parmigiana (aubergine bake) to go with slow-cooked lamb, and making Pompa d'oli, an Occitan Christmas bread made with olive oil, grated orange peel and orange flour water. Now an afternoon making the last batch of Christmas cards and worrying a bit about the weather news from Wales. Son, daughter and daughter's partner are due to fly here on Wednesday....hope it's not like last year when they couldn't make it.
