Childish subversion

In a previous life, I used to work in advertising. I hated myself for it. I no longer work in advertising, though now have numerous other reasons for hating myself.

One thing that always gave me hope in that previous life was subvertising - the act of altering an advert through often subtle manipulation of text or image, distorting its intended (and utterly parasitic) message of "consumption = good".

Drawing a Hitler moustache and false eyelashes on a photo of a young Phil Collins probably does not represent the pinnacle of subvertising, but it certainly made me smile as I got off the tube today.

Victoria line, northbound platform, Euston Station if you wanna go see...
