Friday 11 February 2011: Pool fun

Today was House Sports Day - the day when students (and teachers!) get dressed up in their House colours and take part in a host of crazy activities. The events change a little from year to year but there are some perennial favourites - the egg throw (with raw eggs of course!), the tug-o-war, the 3-legged race and in the pool, the dry teacher carry. This is where form classes are challenged with carrying their teacher across the pool and keeping him/her as dry as possible.......

Yea - right!!

This group were showing a lot of promise at the start at least :)

It was, of course, another fun day with some wonderful interactions going on. It was also a stunningly hot day with little respite from the baking sun. Little wonder then that I was feeling rather worn out by the end of the day and distinctly unwell by 9.00pm.

An early night is in order.
