Scalpsie Bay

Woke up to torrential rain and a forecast of persistent rain all day. Proper breakfast (very nicely done) and then headed for the Rothesay "Discovery Centre" aka Tourist Board to see what was available. Precious little, it being the off season n'all. There are, allegedly, seals to be seen at Scalpsie Bay and that would also have the benefit of being a car ride away and inside the car is dry and warm and it plays music.

Actually, no seals were sighted but the beach itself is brilliant, helped by several streams of water running down the beach off the surrounding farmland. A wee break in the clouds leads to nice highlights reflected in the water rushing down the beach, with a wee bit of land in the background.

Back to Rothesay for another wander round town and a fish tea at one of the many Zavaroni emporia. Mandy got it: the Zavarionis, they're the Corleones of Rothesay. Even the less well known singing star of the family - Margaret Zavaroni who appears at the Taverna. 10 till late.

We left Mandy there with her Pot Noodle tea and her meeting tomorrow and headed home.

You should see yesterday's.
