Friday 18 February 2011: Sandside spits
Kent estuary, Sandside, Cumbria
A grey day of thick cloud and poor light. I couldn't get out at lunchtime, so I stopped on the way home for a quick walk along the old railway embankment next to the Bela river as it enters the Kent estuary. This is looking downstream into the silvery light from the sinking cloud-shrouded sun. The black-headed gulls are ever-present.
A quiet day at work.
This weekend I shall be seeing Dr T in Huddersfield, a change of scene, we shall see what blipping opportunities come along.
