Friday 25 February 2011: Running water Christchurch style!

This is running water Christchurch style!!

We were lucky as we'd just bought a couple of 20litre containers for water, so we have somewhere to put boiled water and non boiled water and we came across this water station set up by some kind person at the side of the road.

They had attached a hose to a tap in their property and put a tap on it out on the street so people driving by could just fill up their containers. Some very lovely people around - just a little thing in the chaos but it means so much.

It was great as yesterday my husband waited 2 hours for a water tanker that was supposed to come at 11 but never did, now we know where to go!!

Water is so heavy to carry too. We were thrilled.
