A deeper, more profound reality is beginning to emerge in the aftermath of the earthquake.

New Zealand's 'local' online shopping place - Trade Me - has set up a Christchurch earthquake support section where people can list for free...........things like lost and found pets, emergency accommodation, transport and volunteers.

Almost 2300 people up and down the country have opened their homes to offer free respite accommodation to Chch people who want/need to get away from the trauma zone for a while.

And a hundred lost pets and over eighty found pets have been listed.

I'm sure Bene here would cope if a family took up my online offer of accommodation, and if they'd lost a pet I'm sure he'd be very willing to share his love.

My thoughts are still with everyone in Chch, especially as the days wear on and hope of survival begins to fade........
