Friday 25 February 2011: Christchurch Stories
One of the joys of working at Blipcentral is that we get the chance to see and read lots of your daily stories.
This week has been different.
We've spent the last few days waiting for all our Blippers in New Zealand to 'check in', ticking them off our lists when we know they're safe and well. We've been amazed, shocked and heartened at their stories, and inspired by the knowledge that even during this terrible event in their lives they still wanted to Blip and let us know how they were feeling.
So, instead of Blip Of The Week, here's a selection of their images and reports:
Respite
Running water Christchurch style
Major disaster
Liquifaction
Our house, or at least it used to be our house
Earthquake Redux
Was open
When time stood still
The point
Shadows and fragility
Filling up
Family help with the digging of earthquake mud
You can find out how to support the relief work on the New Zealand Red Cross website.
Blip Of The Week will be back next Friday. If you have any suggestions between now and then, do let us know.
