Lurking in the shadows...

I was in the garden this morning chatting to a friend who had dropped by. I was telling him about this site and the challenge I've set myself when I spotted this cicada casing stuck on a leaf. I picked it up and, almost in unison, we both said 'well, here's today's subject'! I decided on this shadowed pic rather than the casing itselfas I thought it looked more creepy!!!

The cicadas are still singing out there (it's not song though........what DO cicadas do?!?) but it won't be too long until they disappear all together as winter draws ever closer. The weather at the moment is just gorgeous - late summer/autumn is a favourite time of the year for me so I'm in seventh heaven at the moment - camera, sunshine and time :) Aahhhhh!!!!!
