The smallest in the herd

This little guy is the smallest deer in the park, about the size of a large dog. I took quite a few pictures of him (or maybe it's her) today because he kept following us around...he and others in the herd. I am sure they have high hopes that we are packing in some tasty morsels for them to eat. He also seems to be curious about Gulliver.

The snow is pretty deep right now. It started falling Saturday morning and didn't stop until late this afternoon. The current temperature is 15 degrees, although it did reach 23 degrees earlier today. It's the first day in a while that it was fit weather for a long walk, and we enjoyed it, especially Gulliver.

It's Sunday night already. Where does the weekend go? Tomorrow is a holiday, commemorating the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr. Then Tuesday will be the inauguration of Barack Obama. Quite a week ahead! Have a good one, Blippers.
