Flooded Flats

This is about the only time of year when I could get this shot. The valley hay flats have all melted precipitously in the last week leaving enough water to create a reflection. There's still enough snow on Pioneer Peak to make a spectacular sight when the sun is out. The commuters between the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and Anchorage get to enjoy such a view daily when there's sun and clear weather. Bear in mind that such a commute is in the dark 6 months of the year.

The break in weather is coinciding with a break in my head cold. Dinner is at home tonight. We'll take Daisy for a two mile walk around the neighborhood, and then watch some mind numbing television. I think Earl and the Office is on.
