The 17th a Very Good Day

6:00 a.m. Woke to a lovely morning

7:00 a.m. Our daughter phoned to invite us to ride with them to San Clemente

9:30 a.m. Dede, John, Mr. Fun and Rosie leave for the coast

We had a late breakfast at Antonine's Cafe in San Clemente. Spent several hours looking at lots of coastal properties (photo on left) with our daughter and her hubby. Did a little shopping at Rainbow Sandals, Friends of the Library Store, Costco, and then drove north to Laguna Beach where we stopped for a snack and beverage with a look at the water's edge (photo on the right). Then driving further north and looking through the neighborhoods of Corona del Mar and finally to Balboa Island where we parked the car and walked around the island. Then back in the car and took the 3-car ferry across the tiny channel to Newport Peninsula. Then about 6 o'clock stopped at the "Crab Cooker" restaurant for a delicous cup of clam chowder and bread.

9:30 p.m. Mr. Fun & Rosie home after a thoroughly lovely day with our daughter and son-in-law.

The 17th is always a very good day!
