Camera-Shy

Dun the Tun

I started this thing back in February, and as I write this, those days seem several lifetimes ago.

In the broader scheme of things, 100 photographs doesn't seem so many, but to get there has involved taking, and sorting through thousands of images, countless trips out to parks, duck-ponds, stately homes, canals; and has resulted in a few soakings, and even a bit of sunburn.

And thanks to this site, you can show your work to people all over the world - which certainly beats the alternative of going through your latest snaps with a set of uninterested relatives on a wet Easter weekend.

I have learnt a hell of a lot from here in the last 3 months, and more importantly, met some wonderful people along the way.

When you've sat at the computer at midnight on a Saturday, crying with laughter as you converse with a blipper who's just come in from the pub, then you know that all the effort just to keep the pictures coming has all been worthwhile.

My aim for the next 100:
Work with artificial lighting
Take a decent portrait
Take a decent landscape
Avoid ducks and planes (if possible)
