Esther's "Living Room Gig"

What a brilliant event. Our friend Esther O'Connor was performing in a Living Room Gig tonight. F and M hosted it, and about 40 folk packed into their lounge and conservatory area.

An acoustic set, with numbers from her first two albums, and new songs from the third which is being recorded at the moment. She also sang some covers, and songs which she has prepared for the Cafe Church. I particularly liked her version of Bob Dylan's "Gotta Serve Somebody".

I have mentioned Esther in Blips before, e.g. we went to hear her at King Tut's last Autumn, and also when she and her friends played at Cafe Church on 26 March.

So here she is performing with her husband Tim, and her Dad, Graeme Duffin who is the lead guitarist in Wet Wet Wet. They are both playing Moon Guitars, made by Jimmy Moon at his workshop in Shawlands, Glasgow.
