Who am I to disagree?

Not subtle

It's been a fine day today in Perth, the sun won its fight with the mist and we actually saw some blue sky. The underfoot conditions though weren't great so Mrs L decided she'd stay in and do jobs and told me to go out for a wander. I never argue with Mrs L, especially when it's not in my interest.

Headed for the "gull ice bank" (regular viewers will understand) only to find it had melted away, so no gulls today, but they will be back. Wandered across the railway bridge and headed down a path I fancied exploring towards Willowgate Pools & Cafe. It hugged the north bank of the Tay, it was very VERY icy. After ten minutes I'd gone maybe fifty feet and was still alive that was a result and commonsense decreed that to stay alive I'd better turn round. Ten minutes and fifty feet later I was back under the railway bridge taking this photo looking back up the Tay towards St. Matthews Church.

Decided on the next least sensible option for a wander in Icy conditions and headed up Kinnoull Hill, Suffice to say I survived the initial slopes that were described by a man walking his dog as a death trap, then a bloke attempting to walk his bike down at least gave me the good news that the going got better once you got in among the trees. And it did. And I revisited the summit. And survived the descent. And Mrs L had finished the jobs by the time I got home.

Been a while since I had a play with HDR. There's a lot of good subtle stuff on blip, but I've never done subtle well, so thought I'd give it another go, trouble is I like this grunge effect. Hey ho, next time maybe.

Grungier in Large.
