The fool on the hill

Blue Monday

Some silly statistician or psychologist has reported that today is the most depressing day of the year - or that people are at their most depressed anyhow. What some people will do to justify their job description.
By coincidence I was laying in bed last night thinking about the futility of existence - but not in a depressive way - more in a puzzled way. I mean, here we all are on a chunk of rock floating in a void within a galaxy that's floating in an almost empty void of unimaginable proportions that makes this world a speck of nothing... and us on it; we are even less significant.
It's a good job we've got the telly and the internet and the price of petrol to take our minds off the reality of the situation.
And on that cheery note I'll wish you all a pleasant existence.
