Friday 6 May 2011: Renovation project
This building is next door to our little house, the one we're redecorating so that we can let it to holidaymakers over the summer. This was part of the summer residence of the bishop of Béziers and has a listed and protected ceiling dating from the 15th century, that was added to an earlier building. Our house was built as part of the complex of buildings around it - the servants' quarters I suspect! The bishop's palace is due to be renovated, we hope, by the new owner. We're glad there isn't as much work to do in our house!
