horns of wilmington's cow

1, 2, 3, 4, I Declare a Swan War...

A bit of aggro in the evening sun - they're ruddy big beasts to be flapping around fighting with one another. Went with this simply because I liked the shot, better image than seeing the first of the Little (Littler?) Grebe chicks having emerged (which suffered from a 3200 ISO and shooting through a gazillion little branches).

Rather chuffed to have seen it. There are still two eggs on the nest (revealed when the parents swapped places).

Another day of graft, mainly in the garden, where the score rests at Giant New Zealand Flax 0 - 1 Me. Big gap in the garden which might be turned into either a small patio area for the evening sun; or a small pond.

p.s. the gnocchi last night was cracking, Wahey!
