Today's the day ....................... for derring-do

It's started then - the Kendal Mountain Film Festival! Kendal is only a small town but every year around this time it welcomes thousands of outdoors enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate mountain culture in film, lectures, art and literature.

Will and Rob have gone to see the world film premiere of Alastair Lee's latest film Moonflower. The film follows the climbers Jon Bracey and Matt Helliker as they honour their late friend Jules Cartright by following his original vision of a formidable new line on Alaska's Mt Hunter's incredible Moonflower Buttress. What's more - Alastair, Matt and Jon will also be present in person to make it a very special evening.

And me? - well I'm going to curl up in front of the fire with a nice big glass of red and a good book ..........................
