Snowdrop

What a gorgeous day it's been today - blue skies , sunshine and warmth! Very spring-like.

I know it will still be cold at night though so had to set about chopping a pile of firewood so I can feed my need for warmth and snugness. Whilst I was chopping it I noticed these snowdrops glistening in the sun. The deep shadow behind them served to accentuate their striking simplicity.

Ah - spring must be heading our way! (How unrealistically optimistic am I?!?! Check back here later to find out!!)
