Monday 6 February 2012: A gleam of light
I hate supermarkets and I go to them as little as possible - I hate the way they seem to have hundreds of different products but never the one I want, and the way they make me walk so far to find that they haven't got what I want, and the way they exploit producers and drive down the prices they pay them but still sell things for the same price as small independent shops anyway..... so I don't buy much food in them, but sometimes, as I did today, I needed printer ink and a new memory stick and the supermarket was the nearest place to get them. I feel slightly better about it because there are palm trees in the car park, the sun was shining and it was a few degrees warmer than it's been for a week.
