Saturday 14 April 2012: Busy bee
A perfect Saturday in the garden - lunch of leftovers of delicious chicken marinaded in spices then roasted by LoJ when friends came to supper last night, then I put my feet up with my printout of the Guardian prize crossword (so far unfinished) and watched LoJ do some digging. The bees were busy all over our rosemary bushes, these big bumble bees as well as smaller honey bees.
Saturday morning began as usual with breakfast and Radio 4 in the background (weekdays it's the World Service) and I realised that after six years living here all year round listening to R4 has become like eavesdropping on another world. Within about 30 minutes 4 people whose names began with 'Lord' were interviewed....was it always like that? So thankful to be living in a republic now, for all its many faults.
