Wednesday 25 April 2012: After the fire
The blackened trees will take longer to recover but the ground where the big wild fire was last September is green again now. I saw spring flowers - borage, wild garlic, thistles, sweet pea and many others - and the lentisk bushes were growing new leaves at ground level among the burnt branches.
