The Towhee saved the day

.... at least I THINK it's an Eastern Towhee (opinions/knowledge welcomed).

Left Martha's Vineyard today heading back to the mainland - took a drive early this morning before catching the ferry and (Mum) saw this cute lil guy sitting on top of the branch chirrupping his heart out.

The rain started very soon after and has continued to hammer down all day so Master Towhee (??) was the obvious blip - aside from that, I have never seen one before and he is soooooo pretty!

Two more days here and then back home ......
