Friday 25 May 2012: Heading for the Hills
We (being myself and my mate and colleague Simon), arrived at the beginning of our backpacking trip just before 9pm on Friday. I took a few quick photo's as we were losing the light and this photo is literally at the beginning as we left the car behind.
We'd agreed to meet our mate Richard at the pitching point, which was near to a lake in a corrie about an hour away. Looking round the car park though there was no sign of his distinctive car with sliding doors, and he should have been parked up for at least a couple of hours.
We also had no phone signal so decided to head up to our spot and see if he was there. Luckily he was, and hungry as we were supplying the evening meal!
It had been such a hot day but it quickly cools down in the hills so a hot meal was very welcome. A couple of hours later we turned in for the night.
