Sunday 27 May 2012: Scarecrow Display at New Victoria Gardens
A rare chance to view these historic allotments in Pollokshields on the Southside of Glasgow. The walled garden is only accessible to owners, apart from these very occasional open days.
Lots going on with a busy tearoom, plant sales and guided tours around the 60 plots. We picked up a few tips and even saw a quince tree in blossom. Pupils from the local Glendale Primary School had created several scarecrows - these two won my Blip for today.
I visited here about one year ago, and there is a little more information about this place here.
24C in Glasgow - enjoying every minute of this blue sky weather.
Used polarising filter.
