View from the Hill

I took a detour off road on the way home on the bike tonight because the views were just too good to miss from Wilsden Hill. This blip is looking across to the moor above our house (which is just out of shot to the right) and the woodland of St Ives Estate which is often mentioned in my journal. The famous Bents Lane is down there too. The field with the buttercups is where I've been watching out for the hares, but since that very distant view of the leverets several weeks back, not a twitching of whiskers or flopping of ears have I seen sadly. I am hoping they may repeat their dance of last year when the grass is cut.
