A LANE IN HELMARSHAUSEN

In the morning the sun shone, but outside in the garden it felt cold.
We walked the paths and looked at the new green and yellow.
After resting and lunch we decided to drive to a village called Sielen where they expected storks to come and nest there. When we came in Helmarshausen there was a field along the Diemel river with an amazing number of sheep, with many lambs. Better stop here and look around, why should we drive further when the beauty is here?
So we did and walked to the field where the sheep were eating, some were sunbathing, others preferred the shadow. Some drank from the swift flowing water.
A lovely rural place and we walked along the Diemel and when I saw the couple walking in the lane, I felt happy, seeing such a pretty view.

My haiku:

Hand in hand maybe
Each alone in thoughts perhaps
The towering trees

And the proverb:

The thought hath good legs, and the quill a good tongue.
