Saturday 16 June 2012: Aquila
I went to the an island which is a wildlife preserve today with the hope of finding the eagles and the eaglets together in their nests. I was very lucky and they were home and in their full glory. I travel there by boat and, then, run the boat up to the shore line and nestle myself under the nest. The eaglet started to exercise his wings today. It is just a matter of time until he is standing on this limb with his mom. Soon after that, he will be flying.
It is father's day tomorrow and I dedicate this blip to my dad who loved eagles and travelled to this preserve by boat every chance he could.
