Glowing in the Wind

I had to take my car in this morning to have the wheel alignment done. While that was being done we went and did some shopping. Normally John likes to go out and do the shopping himself and he gets the bus. Today he took the opportunity to get some heavier items seeing we had the car.

We had some time to fill in so did a bit a working around the mall. My back wasn't feeling too bad first thing this morning and I got a good nights sleep. But the walk upset it a bit. This afternoon I took it easy as I didn't want to do any more damaged and decided not to go for a walk as planned.

It has been a lovely warm day and all my washing got nice and dry. A warm wind did pick in the afternoon and it became sunny. I got a little sunburnt sitting reading my good book by the door.

This is one of my fathers double daffodils which he specialised in. He loved all plants but his daffodils were his favorite. They a bit later at coming into flower than most daffodils and with their heavy heads they are more easily damaged by the wind. Double daffodils are the show-offs of the daffodil world. Not content with a single row of petals, they have multiple rings of petals or tufted cups full of frills.
