Diary of an Edinburgher

Sebastian!

The haar was with us this morning, but thank goodness, it disappeared by midday, and it turned into a very warm day.

JR went to the supermarket (where the fire alarm went and they all had to go out - minus their trolleys, of course). Archie and I took a wander round the block. We met Brian and his dad and had a fun tussle on the pavement for a while (just the dogs) then we popped in to visit Rufus and his mum.

There we learned that Christine was going to take the neighbours' wee new puppy - Sebastian - out for a walk, so she said she'd pop in with him later.

Now, grumpy ol' Archie can sometimes be tetchy around puppies, so we're always wary. But really, he's been fine since an incident when he was quite young (but we still hold it against him).

Sebastian came in, and once Archie had examined him closely (we were ready to pounce on Arch) he was fine. Sebastian was a little sweetie, a wee live wire. Of course, I had to attempt a photo of the three of them. Archie and Rufus were fine - they know the score - but wee Sebastian was rolling around, playing around like a... well, like a puppy. The other two pros sat waiting for the photoshoot, and kept casting stern looks at Seb, who ignored them and chewed the cushions. I took many dozens of photos, most of them with one blurry dog or other (no, I didn't have a fast enough shutter settings), but I'm sure there will be many more opportunities. I was making weird noises, that's why he's looking.

We went up the hill, and it was a glorious 23° (that's hot for us). Then off to another physio appointment, where I did a bit on the bike (can't go right round of course), sat and wobbled on a big bouncy ball, and she did some quite sore things to my leg. But told me to be patient, and yes - it takes time.

STILL no TV remote! Grrrrr.
