A Royal Christmas

Kate came over today and we caught the bus into Brighton to visit the Royal Pavilion which is decorated for Christmas.  Normally photography isn't permitted, but at the moment they are allowing photos to be taken in the music room and you can dress up and sit in a replica of Queen Victoria's sleigh.  Of course, Kate and I got in and a lady took our photo (see my extra).

We went on a squirrel hunt in the gardens, monkey nuts at the ready, but they didn't seem too bothered today as they were digging up those nut that they'd previously buried - it's amazing how they know where they've put them.  Then we watched the ice skating, had lunch in the ice rink cafe and finally went to the Brighton Museum where they have the Snowman exhibition.  Raymond Briggs is originally from Brighton and the Royal Pavilion is actually in the movie.

It's been a lovely day, thanks Kate!

Tonight we're going to an event at Elif's shop, so I'd better go and get the dinner on.  Hope you have a nice evening and a great weekend.
