Little Mel Fell and barn

Please look LARGE to see the detail!

Last day of the Photoshop workshop today - so another day's lecturing and helping during the practise sessions. Mike had to be at school by 8am to travel to a schools choir competition (which they didn't win), so I did the early run, and took a slight detour on the way home round some of the minor roads off the A66 near Little Mell Fell. I loved the coating of frost on the fields, and the way the barn and tree sat in the foreground of the fell - and the way they seemed to balance the mass of the fell too. I always find it interesting that such a small element can balance a large one if it carried sufficient visual weight.

The final day of the workshop went pretty well, with most of the guests having learned a lot without total brain meltdown! A couple of guys thought they were totally lost, but when they sat down and practised, they had retained a lot more than they thought - the important thing for them is to go home and practise, practise, practise!

Then to buy a copy of my Photoshop for Landscape photographers book when it comes out (I have just been commissioned to write one!)
