ICE-CREAM

Had the most interesting night last night. We were kept awake by monks and some other loa people literally singing right outside our door in the hostel throughout the whole night. We thought they would finish at 10.00pm and in the morning when we went to get breakfast we interrupted them as they were all praying. We had to squeeze past them all. In bars and restaurants over here everything closes at 11.30 and if the noises goes on you get a big fine so we were so shocked to be kept awake all night!

We went to a swimming pool today. We got completely burnt it was unreal. We put a crazy amount of sun cream on as well. We planned to stay the whole day there but we left at 3 as we were far to warm. We took a tuktuk back to the centre of Luang Prabang and stopped at a nice cafe and got some ice-cream. Was such good ice-cream.

We went back to the hostel, there was still a huge gathering of people in the hostel singing and praying! We all got down to our bikinis and were shocked how burnt we were. Put masses of moisturiser on and we lay on our bed and started the process over again!! We covered up completely to go out tonight as we all look like lobsters. We went to Hive after we had eaten. We saw these very cool hip hop dancers perform again as we saw them perform at the swimming pool earlier that day. They were amazing.

Came back early to pack our bags. Off to Vang Viengtomorrow getting a minibus rather early!
