Getting rid of pink mould

The anti-slip mat in our new shower has attracted nasty pink blooms of (possibly) serratia marcescens or aureobasidium pullulans. This afternoon I set to with a paste of baking soda and washing-up liquid in an attempt to kill them. Tomorrow I will rinse the paste off with vinegar and discover whether my plan has worked. My blip is of the newly pasted mat.

We have suffered a great disappointment today. Our friend Sarah was meant to be staying with us for four nights from this evening, but her flight from the Isle of Man was cancelled at the last minute this afternoon. The next flight on this route is not until Sunday. If Sarah took this, she would not make it to Edinburgh in time to share the weekend with us and Helen, who arrives from Cardiff tomorrow (we hope!)

In happier news, our youngest niece was thrilled with the present that we posted to her yesterday. In addition, she admired the wrapping. We also collected the last of our three pictures from Framework, now in the correct frame (see my blip of 23rd March 2023).

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; acquafit; strength training; walking (15,308 steps).
