Good Morning - my name is .............

........... BikerBear (aka Anni) and I am a starlingaholic!
(well, it would seem so this week)

I am making the most of all these young birds during the starling wars at the breakfast feeders ............ I loved this image for the way the stretching of the wings reveals the shape of the bird's breast and it looks so fragile ........ hard to believe this pretty little pink/grey bird will grow into a blue/black, speckled starling with a formidable beak and a quarrelsome nature.

Not anywhere near as dramatic as yesterday but a gentle way to welcome in the second half of the year as today is the Summer Solstice in UK.

Winging it ...

After the rain, of yesterday afternoon and evening, today started bright and with a little sun - now it looks as though the rain is heading back and it has got quite dull :-(( ........... this date last year was sunny and I blipped a tomato flower - if you want to see, try clicking the thumbnail on the right >>>>>>>
