It is the anniversary of the Air India Disaster and as usual, families, dignitaries, locals gathered to remember the terrible moment 28 years ago when the plane, carrying 331 people, was blown up 100 miles off the Irish coast. I didn't go to the ceremony this morning but went down later this afternoon. Photographs of those murdered make it almost unbearable to look at or contemplate. The worst thing is most were young people and children returning home for the summer. Whole families were wiped out. Sanjay and Deepak's parents have come ever year, I believe, and each year they say a few words- sad, angry words about the Governments that have failed to catch the killers, and warm words about their beloved sons and the little seaside garden in Ahakista where they are forever remembered. Sanjay and Deepak were 12 and 15, travelling alone, like many of the other cildren. Their parents' grief is unimaginable.
