A loaf of bread, a jug of wine, and ...

...and my patient husband, who drove the car and toted the tripod as we set off this evening to blip waterfalls. There wasn't much water "falling" at Paine Falls, so after taking some photos there, we hopped back in the car and pointed it down the road to Harpersfield, where there is both a waterfall and a covered bridge. That's where we found tonight's blip. The bridge reflected in the river and the golden tones from the setting sun? Serendipity! We were in the right place at the right time.

I can hear you asking, "What about the bread and wine?" Well, that was our supper. Between the first waterfall and the second, we stopped off at Debonne Vineyards and relaxed on their patio with a loaf of warm, homemade bread, a glass of wine (me) and grape juice (the driver), and a tray of crackers and cheese spread. Yummy! We finished off the evening with a few sunset blips on the beach at Geneva State Park and a drive through Geneva-on-the-Lake to check out the nightlife at that Coney-Island-like resort. Altogether an evening to remember.

EDIT: The bridge was built in 1868 and renovated in 1913 after a flood washed away land on the northern end. It is located in Ashtabula county, Ohio, the most northeastern county in the state, bordered by Lake Erie on the north and Pennsylvania to the east. Ashtabula is the winery and covered bridge capital of Ohio, boasting 16 drivable covered bridges and even more wineries.
