Romsey Abbey (at Sunrise)

Romsey Abbey is Hampshire's largest non Cathedral church building and Norman in origin, sitting squat and solidly in this small market town.

I've photographed there before and did similar shots with an ultrawide angle then, as now. They have laid the old gravestones down flat, spread out in the shape of a cross, radiating out from the Memorial cross you see here.

As the early watery sun kissed parts of the stonework, I took more, from almost the same viewpoint. This final one had the bird in flight, which clinched it for me.

Lens is Nikkor 10-24mm (yes, back to my favourite DX lens!)

I've never had the pleasure before of having two blips in the Spotlight at the very same time! Well, it happened yesterday, with the latter one still there now. Big and grateful thanks to all and everybody for making this happen!

Hope everyone has a great start to the new week - and that it gets better as the week goes on...
