LET'S WALK IN THE SUNSHINE

suggested Piet Hein for our afternoon walk. Great idea of course, I was so glad to see, since Friday, the sun again. Even between the clouds, I still greeted her.
So it was his choice to walk in the direction of Lauenförde, first a bit of climbing, and after that we entered the huge plain that lay before us, on a slope that goes down to Lauenförde. We have often walked that plain down, in summertime, but somehow it seemed always starting to be invaded by thunder and lightening, even in a fair distance. No doubt I feel terribly frightened then because there is no place to hide.
But in this autumnal season no chance for thundering at all.
The view is overwhelming, the forests, the large fields at the other side of the river,
the monastery of Herstelle, and not to forget the huge building of the nuclear reactor that was closed several years ago. One of the first in Germany, that had many problems from the start.
The picture shows three of the cows in the meadow on the plain.
We decided to walk into the center of Beverungen, drink tea there and return with the bus.
When we came home it was dark. Bye bye sun, hopefully we'll see you tomorrow.

My haiku:

It is another
Quietness up there on the plain
You know what I mean

And the proverb:

Sound love is not soon forgotten.
