A DIFFERENT CREATURE

we found on our walk!
A good plan for this Saturday, to go for a walk together in the morning.
Up to the Sohnreyhöhe, through the forest, rather steep climbing, but at the highest point a marvellous sight over the hills in the south.
The place where we had seen two times a deer in the ravine and this day I saw a raccoon, a big grey one, bumping down there. We saw now that there is a little pond too, where many animals can come and drink. The place used to be a site for digging stones, but is now deserted.
At the Sohnreyhöhe there are placed two benches, one to sit and one to ly down. A great place for a pause. To prevent persons to fall down in the ravine, by accident, there is a simple wire, and part of it makes my blip for today.
We continued our walk through the woods, the birds sang exuberantly, many tracks of boars who had grubbed up looking for food, till we came at the Schmeesen pond, walking around it and ever enjoying the quietness.
At the 'Taufstein', a very old stone with a hole in it, filled with water, we had our second pause. Taufstein means font and near the font there are the ancient grave-hills, but not much to admire there. Still an interesting place.
Back home we had lunch, but knew there had to be done some garden work. And this too we did together for this day.
When we had finished that job, Mischa phoned, ready for a skype call.
So much to tell she had and we were glad that we soon will see her and have time together again.

My haiku:

Fly, my dear, fly high
We only live once they say
And I believe them

And the proverb:

You look as if you were crow-trodden.

= subjected to ignominious treatment.
