Look after the pennies....

...and the pounds will look after themselves.

That's what we were told as youngsters and it paid dividends for me today.

I'd had my eye on a new lens on Trade Me and, after a fierce bidding battle, finally won it this evening. Yay!! Whilst it cost me rather more than I'd hoped it was still a good price, and the trader was soooooo helpful.

Anyway, having gone over budget somewhat I then sat and wondered where I'd get the extra cash from........and into my mind came my penny jar! And would you believe, there was almost exactly the same amount as I'd gone over budget in there.

It was meant to be :)
