Adjusting the gloom of the glade

Today was quite a grey day - none of the drama of the rain or the beauty of the snowscapes - just a grey day.

I decided to drive down a lane I hadn't visited for a while on my way home from the supermarket. Quite a lot of the countryside in this particular area had been butchered to make way for the M6 Toll road (which I am too mean to use)

It was safe but the gloom of the day did not do it justice, so when I looked at the photographs I tried some enhancement to compensate for the grey and to convey a mood..
