West Porlock Panorama

Day 7. Last full day on Exmoor before we move on into deepest South Devon. After the mega day out yesterday we opted for a late start and easy walk along the SW coastal path from the lovely village of Porlock Weir. It was a bit showery and cooler than previous days so I packed my small camping stove to brew up at lunch time. At Culborne Church we sheltered from a heavy shower while eating turkey butties and supping hot coffee. The sun decided to come out so as ever we extended the walk to take in Porlock Common, hence the panorama blip with the clever widget on the camera. Ice cream was had from the enterprising young lad who had set up on the carpark on the summit of Porlock Hill. With visible showers racing up the Bristol Channel on the Welsh side we were bathed in warm sunshine. No cream tea today. I have absolutely loved staying here discovered some new places and revisited an old favourite. Who needs hot, over rated packaged holidays, fighting for a sun lounger. I am feeling fitter and refreshed, have a good crack with the family and still got a week to go.
