Adam Christie Memorial

A wet morning with heavy showers but it dried up in the afternoon and even some sunshine for a while :)

Weekend off and with the wet morning, it was a lazy morning :)  Me and Sammy dog did eventually get out for walkies but got soaked in the process.  As the afternoon came in, we did finally get a walk without getting wet.
Later in the afternoon we had a family gathering in Cunningsburgh for Adam Christie's Memorial, followed by snacks and drinks in the local hall.
Not sure what I'm going to do tonight, a family get together or head out to a friends birthday bash!  Choices!!

Today the family gathering was for my Great Grand Uncle Adam Christie's  Memorial when a plaque is unveiled to commemorate my sculptor forebear.  Last year I visited the Montrose Museum Exhibition where his sculptures were on display.  My dad Peter made the memorial and sculpted the head on the front himself, following in Grand Uncle Adam's traditions.  A great turn out of family, friends, locals in the village and councillors too, maybe about 100 people :)  My granny Lorna Christie in the centre unveiled the memorial and joined here by her children left to right - auntie Joan Halcrow, dad Peter Christie, granny Lorna, auntie Alma Stove and uncle Leonard Christie.
Taken outside the Cunningsburgh History Group Hut.
