Moon jelly

Today's thought :
If the English talked more and the Irish listened more we'd have a great civilisation.

This was one of the topics of conversation in the Post Office this morning where I was delivering cards. Not a job to be hurried - coffee was taken, discussions, open to everyone, included: whether Shakespeare actually wrote all the plays (opinions differed), how warm the water was and how much longer it would be possible to swim (16 degrees and a bit longer), how good sugar was for you (not ), whether dolphins might be viewed in the bay today (a good likelihood) and the intial quote (all in agreement).

A dull morning weatherwise followed by a sunny afternoon. It all changed again as I ventured out for a swim. I wasn't that keen as it looked chilly and was threatening to rain - plus jellyfish were apparent. Different ones from earlier on - I think these were moon jellies: only a mild sting, and considered tasty by the Chinese. This one made an interesting pattern against the pebbles. And the water was actually very pleasant.
