here in Baddeck!

It's Celtic Colors Music Festival here on Cape Breton Island this week! There are so many shows going on all over the island and some of the most amazing fiddlers, singers, harpists etc from all over the world. Last night we saw the fabulous David Francey along with some other amazing musicians.

Today the CBC was recording a small concert down at Knox Church here in Baddeck. I got there 1/2 hour in advance and still the place was full! So when there were many of us standing at the back we were invited to sit behind the musicians on the stage, in the pews! Felt a bit exposed, but it was better than standing for 2 hours! I was sitting right behind David Francey, and it was like i was in his back-up group......cos like many others, i knew all the choruses of his songs! Fabulous experience! Poor guy looked totally knackered.....he mentioned how beautiful it was this morning at 6 am.....and i don't think he was referring to getting up....he was probably just on his way to bed!
